The brief for this project was to take 100 photos of a building in order to both explore and understand different 'building typologies'. I chose a church as the subject of my photos. One of the first things that grabbed my attention was the grand architecture and the overpowering demeanour that the building possessed and so I wanted to capture these characteristics in my photos. I also wanted to capture the contrasting elements of the building such as the massive imposing arches and beams paired with the delicate and intricate stained glass.
